If you don’t know how to set up eSIM on iPhone. So read this article and follow these steps. Apple started supporting eSIM on its devices with its XR and Xs models. It’s been a few years and here’s how to set it up. An eSIM works the same as a physical SIM but is digitally implemented by the iPhone.

The US version of the Apple iPhone 14 has removed the physical SIM card slot. While iPhone 14 models sold in other countries support one physical and one virtual SIM card.

With eSIM, users can easily switch from one SIM card to another because it is built into the phone’s circuitry rather than removing the phone’s internal SIM card. Additionally, it is capable of hosting more than two SIM cards simultaneously. iPhone 14 can accommodate up to eight SIM cards simultaneously.

In a few simple steps, we’ll show you how you can set up an eSIM on an iPhone.

What is eSIM?

eSIMs are digital SIM cards that can be used with cellular plans from your carrier without the need for a physical nano-SIM.

What is benefit of eSIM while traveling?

There are many benefits of using an eSIM when traveling abroad. This SIM card cannot be removed if the iPhone is lost or stolen, so it is more secure than a physical SIM. You can use eSIMs without having to get, carry and swap physical SIMs (which can get lost) or wait for them to arrive.

Eight or more eSIMs can be stored on your iPhone, so they’re always available when you need them. Two electronic SIM cards can be activated on iPhone models that support dual SIM. For that you need to get one eSIM at your home and one from the place you are visiting. If you change your SIM settings in Settings, you can activate any of your stored eSIMs. If you regularly travel to the same places, this can be helpful.

As your eSIM plan gets used up, you can add more data digitally through your carrier.

What you need for eSIM?

  • You can use iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, or later.
  • Your device is running on iOS 12.1 or later.
  • ESIM-supported wireless carrier.
